Emilio Pucci, who was inspired by the house’s original fashion creation, a ski suit, presented a collection that combined beachwear, geometry, and sports in its spring/summer 2022 presentation. This was in keeping with Milan Fashion Week.

The passions and core values of Emilio Pucci inspired the Pucci in-house designer team to create a ‘phygital presentation. They combined fun shapes and colours with a more sophisticated design style. Structured, geometric mini dresses were paired with asymmetrical, flowing tunics. Tops with exposed skin had cut-out details.

There was a coordinating top and trousers as well as a high-neck dress that is different from the more simple, geometric designs. Each piece featured intricate beading techniques using floral and tribal-like patterns that were inspired by the classic prints of the brand.

Particularly, the prints Tartuca, Africana, Cyprea, and Nairobi were the inspiration for many of the patterns and designs in the collection. Knit panels were used to create dresses that mirrored the prints, using dynamic shapes and movements. Bold colours were also used in the knit panels.

Although there was a limited supply of interesting accessories, they still made bold statements. Simple sandals were transformed with hair-like details. This technique was also used in a few small clutch bags, armbands, and tops that tied the collection together.

The new collection will be available in select Emilio Pucci shops in March 2022. Now you can watch the full Emilio Pucci SS22 show below.
