Charles and Keith, a footwear and accessories brand, is celebrating its 25th Anniversary with a capsule collection that “pays tribute to its past while reflecting its present and offering glimpses into its future”.
The brand describes the anniversary collection as a mix of minimalist flat sandals and feminine heels, with classic chunky boots. It is designed to “integrate seamlessly into every woman’s wardrobe,” along with curated bags.
Highlights include 90s-inspired footwear elements such as square toes. chunky soles. and strappy uppers. As an ode the decade in which it was founded, the Sonia accessory line consists of a padded backpack, a boxy bag, and a wallet.
Emmanuelle Macedriskill, Charles and Keith’s executive director, released a statement to mark the occasion. “There are moments of life that you should celebrate, and this one is special – Charles and Keith turn twenty-five. We are proud to have built a brand that allows women to enjoy fashion and brings joy to their lives through collections that reflect creativity and reflection over the past two decades. We have created a line of shoes and bags that celebrates this milestone. They are made from recycled materials and feature some of our most beloved styles.”
This collection pays tribute to Charles and Keith’s commitment to a better future. It is entirely made from eco-friendly recycled materials. The minimalist, modern Arabella recycled nylon slide sandals and sandals are made from rubber that has been upcycled to translucent soles. They sport a speckled Confetti design to emphasize the celebratory theme.
The Sepphe recycled nylon grommet mules and pumps turn heads with their recycled plastic heels. Each pair is unique thanks to the hypnotic marbled pattern.
Charles and Keith will launch an anniversary collection. A micro-site with an e-book that illustrates the brand’s 25 year journey, virtual reality rooms featuring customisable avatars, 360-degree rooms and a playlist curated by Spotify will also be launched.
Charles and Keith was started by Charles Wong and Keith Wong as a footwear company. It has since grown to include accessories, footwear, shoes, bags, eyewear and costume jewelry for women. It launched ecommerce shipping to over 70 countries in 2004 and is available across the UK, America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East.
