manager_1 Lip color is something that can be worn without a reason. However, if your lips aren’t able to rest comfortably after a year of protecting them in public, what good is it? Jezz Hill, a makeup artist, created five looks that range from avant-garde to everyday wearable for a summer unlike any others. Hill took her inspiration from the natural world. Hill says that all of the looks are different in their colors and moods, but her main inspiration is nature, flowers, skies and nature.
Hill prepared our models’ skin using a four-step regimen: Pixi Glow Tonic and SkinCeuticals Hyaluronic acid H.A. Tata Harper Water Lock Moisturizer, Tatcha The Silk Peony Cream Eye Cream, and Intensifier Serum were used. To create the freshest, most natural look for each look she used Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundations SPF 30, and Dior Forever Skin Correct concealer. She also applied Grown Alchemist lip balm antioxidant+3 Complex to protect Coger’s lips and keep them hydrated.
Galaxy Lip
Hill applied Fenty Beauty Frosted Metallic Lipsticks in No Chill using a lip brush [Ed. Note: Limited edition. Hill applied About-Face Daytripper Lightlock Lip Gloss In Unholy with her fingertips to create this galactic look. She advises that you blend the edges to achieve a seamless look.
Tu-Lip
Hill applied Kosas Weightless lipstick in Violet Fury to her lips with a brush. She also used MAC Clear lipglass to create this bright, botanically-inspired shade. Hill created the complementing eye look by applying Huda Beauty Obsessions Lipstick Palette in Violet Fury with a small blending blush. Hill blended Milk Lip + Cheek Cream Blush In Berry into Coger’s cheekbones. Then, Hill used a small fan brush to dust MAC Glitter Transparent Pink onto her eyes and cheeks.
Coral Lip
Hill used a lip brush to apply MAC Lipmix Orange and a thin layer of MAC Clear Lipglass on top. For a soft, dimensional look, Hill used a small blush brush to blend Glossier Cloud Paint Eve into her eyes and cheeks.
Glossy Lip, Neon Eye
Clear, glossy lips feel fresh and vibrant with a pop of neon. Hill used Dior Lip Glow Oil Clear in Clear to give her a glassy shine. She also used a small brush to sweep Huda Beauty Neon Obsession Palette [discontinued]. Glossier Skywash can be used over the lids.
Violet Lip
Hill used a lip brush to apply Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick Royal Flush. Then, she applied Dior Addict Stellar Lip Gloss 092 to the top to give it shine. For a monochromatic look, she used her fingertips to apply Byredo Colour Stick Mesolithic to the model’s eyes.
