There are many dynamic duos, including wine and cheese, primer and foundation, but there is no better pair for seasonal fashion than jean jackets or fall. An essential piece of outerwear is important for every outfit. With the seasonal temperature fluctuations that occur from summer to fall, it is crucial to find the right one. The East Coast’s temperature range is very narrow, with temperatures ranging from not-too cold to far-too cold. I set out to find a jean jacket that would be easy to match with any outfit, was comfortable, and affordable.

I don’t usually wear jean jackets because the fabric can sometimes be restricting (think skinny-leg jeans), but since I desperately needed a new outerwear staple, I decided to test my luck. I was happy to see that the new 2021 fall collection was released early. This one from Gap was my first choice because I love neutrals. It was the perfect match for me because it had the words “non stretch” in its name. My new piece was $40.

Aside from being extremely comfortable, this jacket is also very versatile and can dress an outfit up or down depending on the look you’re going for. You can choose from a range of sizes, including XS-4X, and a petite or tall fit. I chose petite. It’s made of 100 percent cotton and is lightweight and soft to the touch. However, it can also keep you warm enough to wear with a dress on a cold fall evening. This is the perfect choice for anyone looking to add a seasonal touch to jean jackets.
