Reiss has teamed up with Castore, a premium sportswear brand, to create a limited-edition line of activewear for men that is “engineered for modern life”.

The 32-piece collection has been designed to be worn before, during and after sports, as part of Reiss’ new chapter on “athleisure-meets-urban-style,” following up its first foray into activewear launched in January and its golf collection in May.

Reiss Castore’s collaboration offers both high- and low-intensity training options and post-workout options. This includes running jackets and tops, track pants, shorts and hybrid hoodies as well as shell jackets.

This collaboration was timed to coincide Reiss’ 50th Anniversary year celebrations. It marks the first time Reiss has partnered up with an activewear expert in order to create a capsule combining its style aesthetic with Castore’s technical performance authority.

Reiss launches Castore performance activewear

Christos Angelides, chief executive of Reiss, stated in a statement that the Reiss look transcends work and occasion. We were looking for a partner who was a similar-minded partner in the field of sportswear. Castore’s experience allowed us to adapt Reiss’s style and create technical pieces that can be worn before, during, and after a customer’s workout.

Highlights include a water-, wind-, and dirt-resistant lightweight running jacket made from technical fabric with microporous membrane for breathability, reflective branding, and lightweight, quick-drying pants for high-intensity training. They also have an adjustable waistband, are cut to a slim and athletic shape, and a zoned quilted vest for low-intensity outdoor training.

It also offers five styles that are specifically tailored for recovery, including a pair of trousers and joggers, as well as a hoodie and T-shirt.

Reiss and Castore will add womenswear to their SS22 collection

Tom Beahon, founder of Castore, said: “It was truly collaborative, leaning upon the areas expertise within each brand in order to explore new, untapped possibilities. This collaboration allowed for a new approach and a chance to challenge the rules.”

Both brands shared that they are currently working on a second collection for spring/summer 2022. This will include womenswear.

Reiss Castore’s ‘Engineered For Modern Living’ collection is now available in sizes XS through XXL. Prices range from 22 Pounds for performance socks to 395 Pounds for a bonded running jacket.

The collection is now available worldwide at Reiss.com, Castore.com, and select UK stores including The Shambles Manchester and Barrett Street London stores. Castore Edinburgh, Liverpool and Glasgow also have the collection.
