manager_1 British Fashion Council (BFC), has announced the nominees for the Designer of the Year Award as well as the BFC Foundation Award. These awards will be presented at the upcoming Fashion Awards presented by TikTok.
1000 fashion industry leaders were invited to vote on this year’s winners, which was revealed at the event.
Nominees for Designer of Year are Daniel Lee (Bottega Veneta), Demna Gvasalia (Balenciaga), Jonathan Anderson (JW Anderson and Loewe), Kim Jones (Dior Men and Fendi), Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons (Prada).
The nominees for the BFC Foundation Award include Bethany Williams and Bianca Saunders. Priya Ahluwalia, Nensi Dojaka, Richard Quinn, and Priya Ahluwalia. This award recognizes emerging designers who have made an impact in the past 12 months. The winner will receive mentoring and financial support from the BFC Foundation.
Additional awards will be given
The Outstanding Achievement Award, which will be presented to Tommy Hilfiger in recognition of his contributions to the global fashion industry, will also be given at the event. This award will further refer to his commitment to building an inclusive brand.
In an effort to recognize designers, brands and creatives who have made positive changes in the fashion industry, fifteen Leaders of Change awards will be presented at the ceremony. Those involved are divided into three categories: creativity, environment, and people.
A New Wave: Creatives category will recognize 50 of the most creative and innovative young creators in the world.
It will take place at the Royal Albert Hall in London on November 29th. The new format includes performances, awards and cultural highlights from the past year.
TikToks participation in the event will include a variety of immersive digital experiences as part of reaching global audiences. The live streaming of the red carpet event will be a significant addition to the program. This will make TikToks more accessible to its already large user base.
