Grita Loebsack named Nivea president

Beiersdorf AG, which owns the skincare brands Nivea & Eucerin has named Grita Loebsack to its executive board. She will be taking over the new position of president of Nivea.

Loebsack joins EssilorLuxottica as chief marketing officer. She will now assume the role of president of Nivea’s global management to ensure the brand’s future success.

Vincent Warnery, Chairman of Beiersdorf’s Executive Board stated in a statement that “I am very happy that Grita Loebsack (who will be taking over responsibility for our flagship brand Nivea) will lead it into an even greater success future.”

“I believe she will make Nivea a more global, digital, and sustainable brand that inspires our customers around the globe.”

Reinhard Pollath (chairman of Beiersdorf’s supervisory board) said: “Beiersdorf gains a highly experienced manager with extensive international experience in skin care and global brands. She will be a great addition to the executive team, leading the iconic Nivea brand.

Loebsack is a former manager in the skincare industry, and has also been involved in global brand-building as a leader at Essilor Unilever, L’Oreal, and Essilor. She was the international marketing director for skincare at L’Oreal Paris and global brand president at Vichy.
