admin It is amazing to see how people are motivated to support local, independent food businesses during times of crisis. Here’s another list of places to show your love and money. This time we’re focusing on businesses that are often overlooked when communication takes place online. These places are often owned by BIPOC, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, but don’t have the social media skills to make them stand out on your feed. This list was created by the Smells Like collective. It all started on Instagram with them collecting restaurants and shops not listed on the Instagram. Then I opened the poll to my friends and added my recommendations. You can make it a goal each week to visit at least one of these restaurants, in an effort to help those who are often overlooked.
