Whering launches browser extension in an effort to curb fashion impulse purchasing

Whering launched a browser extension free of charge that allows users to import images from Instagram and other online shopping platforms directly into their digital closet. This will encourage a long-lasting love for a garment as well as curb impulse buying.

The Whering Web to Wardrobe Chrome browser allows users to instantly add items to their digital closet, wishlist, and moodboard while they shop online. The digital wardrobe app, which is also available on Chrome browser, will allow users to shop strategically and fill in any gaps in their wardrobe. It will also help to reduce unnecessary purchases.

Whering explains that the new feature will allow users to “visualise how certain items can be worn before they purchase, plan outfits before they purchase and give users a chance of considering rationally before making a purchase.”

This app is designed to change the way that consumers shop, style, and dress. It also helps to reduce the carbon footprint of fashion consumers around the world. It hopes that this new feature will allow consumers to reduce their shopping returns. A Mintel study revealed that nearly half (49%) of UK online shoppers had sent back something in the last year.

Whering’s goal is to lower returns by over 70% by allowing users the opportunity to try before buying. It uses AI to show users what new outfits they can get and make styling suggestions to maximize utilisation.

Bianca Rangecroft is the founder and chief executive officer of Whering. You regret buying a dress you won’t wear again after you buy it impulsively at work.

You can add an item to your wishlist instantly if you feel the need to buy it impulsively online. Keep it there for a few more weeks. This will help our Wherers to reduce their one-time purchases, overconsumption, and save money on quality items.
