Zayn Malik, a singer who rose to fame as a member in One Direction, has now unveiled a collaboration with Arnette for eyewear.

Five “edgy yet simple to wear styles” are part of the Zayn x Aranette collection. They were named after iconic retro cars and have been made using bio-based materials. This allows for a sustainable, new approach to eyewear.

Co-created eyewear styles include “contemporary attitude” and “90’s nostalgia”, bold square profiles, deep-rim metal and low-and-wide wings, and new bleached tie dye colours.

Highlights include The Optical – Type Z with its sustainable bio-acetate frame, trendy square shape, and available in the new tie dye colours or total crystal colour options. The Pinnacle – Gullwing draws inspiration from the drum-and-bass to new era trance scene with a bold, low shape. The Modern Pilot – GTO has a high-brow profile and Zayn logo.

Malik also created frames and merchandise inspired by his album cover, “Nobody is Listening”. Round – Drophead frames are deep-rimmed metal frames with a flat bridge. This clean metal frame is available in cool matte and brushed colors of silver, gunmetal, black, with colourful mirrors or see-through yellow lens.
