manager_1 In collaboration with Zara, the popular Dutch brand Kassl Editions has released a capsule collection. Part ready-to wear, part interior products make up the collection by Kassl, who is known for his minimalist aesthetic, deep colors, and tactile use.
There are many interpretations of the traditional square Kassl jacket that can be found in the ready-to wear category. These were initially inspired by fishing jackets. There is also a lightweight nylon version and a jacket in nappa with contrast seams. A leather top and pants combo is included, as well as a pair of chunky, wide-soled shoes inspired by the Kassl Pillow bag. The color scheme includes dark, light, and medium colours, as well as beige, wine red, white, and grey.

Zara and Kassl offer modern modular cabinets and tables, as well as ceramic lamp bases in graphic shapes. They also present a white carpet and a black line drawing on the interior side. The Pillow Sofa, which Kassl also took from the Pillow Bag, was already a part of Kassl’s interior design trip last year. A cushion-like seat was added to the sofa this year, in the form a rounded sofa with a quilted design that is reminiscent of knitted material.
Two exhibition spaces are currently available at Zara Home and Zara flagship stores in Milan, where the collection is on display. Parallel to the Salone del Mobile design show, which concludes on September 10, the exhibitions will be open. The September 12th launch is planned for the public. The collection will be made available online and in retail stores around the world. Accessories and clothing will only be sold online. Prices for the collection are not yet known.
