manager_1 Volcom, a board sports brand owned by Authentic Brands Group has revealed the uniforms of the US snowboard team for the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.
Volcom is the official outfitter of the US snowboard team. Their uniforms celebrate Volcom’s DIY roots, ‘Alive We Ride,’ and are versatile enough to meet the “diverse, intense needs” American athletes.
Volcom explained that the avant-garde designs combine cutting-edge, patented technologies and bio-based sustainability materials. Each element has been “heavily inspected” to ensure that the US snowboard team can take to the slopes in style.
The Winter Olympic uniforms are the ‘Volcom Owl 3 Layer Gore Jacket,’ which is an outer Goretex shell with the insulated ‘Volcom Utility Puff inside. This jacket can be transformed into a functional, sleeveless layering vest.
The brand’s trademarked ‘Volcom Zip-Tech jacket-to-pant interface is included in the line. This interface was created to keep athletes warm while keeping out snow, and the patented ‘Volcom Thermal Defense System’ (TDS), which keeps the wearer warm when they need it.
The jacket also has USA trims and patches, as well as gold-plated zipper pulls and a lucky faux rabbit’s foot. The uniform’s collage print pays tribute to Volcom’s rich history.
