Pronovias, a Spanish bridal house, is continuing its affordable wedding dress line with Georgina Chapman, Marchesa’s creative Director. They have created an exclusive collection of red-carpet looks for occasion wear.

Marchesa Notte’s debut Marchesa Notte collection is the brand’s second collaboration in a year. It adds to the April bridal collection and aims to expand the Pronovias evening wear and occasion wear collections to a wider audience.

Chapman collaborated with Thomas Vasseur (design director of “The Party Edit” at Pronovias, to create an occasion wear collection that is filled with “glamour & passion”. The brand describes the collection as combining Mediterranean sensuality and Hollywood glamour.

Georgina Chapman is the creative director and cofounder of Marchesa. She said, “I’m thrilled that I’m launching Marchesa Notte for Pronovias. It was a pleasure to work with Thomas on this line. This collection will be launched with the common vision of making women feel special, whether they are part of the wedding party or guests at special events.”

Vasseur said: “Working alongside Georgina on this collection was an amazing experience. She is undisputedly the queen of celebrity haute couture and her expertise was invaluable in creating these stunning gowns.”

The Marchesa Notte for Pronovias collection was showcased at an exclusive preview event at the London flagship. Chapman and Amandine Ohayon, chief executive of Pronovias Group, displayed the collaboration. Chapman said that she added cocktail dresses to her Pronovias collaboration during the London event.

Chapman stated that both brands share core values. They believe in craftsmanship and quality and their sensibilities are very similar from an aesthetic standpoint. “When asked if I would do anything other than bridal, it felt very natural. We do event dressing so why not design for the bride and the guests?”

Ohayon said: “The first bridal collection was released earlier in the year and was a huge success – so we knew that we wanted something different for the second half of the year. That’s why we decided to do a party collection because we believe that the party will be back!”

Ohayon describes the 20-piece collection of cocktail dresses as “unique” and “very special”. It is designed for bridesmaids, mothers of the bride, and wedding guests.

Chapman said: “I wanted that design sensibility of Europe and the beauty Spain to this collection. Spain is synonymous with warmth, heritage, and hand-made embroideries. This is evident in the collection, from bright pink prints to delicate metallics and lace designs.

Marchesa Notte for Pronovias’ debut eveningwear collection features feminine silhouettes. They range from one-shoulder to two-shoulder necklines with embroidery and lace to fashion-forward prints and “red carpet finesse”. The colour palette is inspired by Southern Spain’s flora, which includes pale orchid, bluebell, and peony.

The “Seguiriya” is a flared, tulle gown with long sleeves and floral embroidery design. And the “Nanas”, a sensual, strapless, shimmering, tulle dress featuring open back, is romantic and sensual.

This collection features lace in a new light with designs that are reminiscent of classic mantilla Shawls, tone on-tone metallic highlights, and art deco inspired embroidery. Other gowns feature golden thread embroidery on lush velvet with all-over beading and gold thread embroidery.

Pronovias’ ready-to-wear Marchesa Notte for Pronovias Collection is now available at select Pronovias boutiques around the globe. Prices range from 490 to 800-pounds.
