Pangaia, an eco-conscious fashion label, has announced a new partnership with Es Devlin. The capsule will be limited edition and draws inspiration from Devlin’s artwork.
The Pangaia x Es Devlin Collection consists of four styles. They are all in the orange color that the artist used throughout her art over the years. The collection’s pieces also draw inspiration from the artist’s most recent work, a mirror labyrinth called ‘Forest of Us’. Items in the collection feature quotes from the exhibition and replace Pangaia’s signature text block.
The new text is: “A forest of you, a synbiotic symmetry and a branching geometrie that flows within and around you but can you see, feel, and breathe it? Go and find it.”
100 percent of the profits from the capsule will go to Instituto Terra. This non-profit organization is dedicated to sustainable rural development and environmental restoration in the Rio Doce Valley, Brazil.
The collection includes a hoodie and track pants as well as shorts, a tshirt, a tshirt, and a t-shirt. Prices range from 150 to 55 dollars. The collection will be sold at Pangaia’s website as well as at Superblue Miami (the location of Devlin’s exhibition).
Superblue’s work with her examines the network connections between bodies and nature as well as the differences between individual and collective perspectives. According to a press release, this collaboration is part Pangaia’s ongoing commitment of working with artists/changemakers who “share the same values as the brand”.
