Moncler opens House of Genius pop up in Selfridges

Moncler will take over the Corner Shop at Selfridges, Oxford Street to launch its House of Genius concept. It features creative collaborations curated and curated by David Fischer, founder of Highsnobiety.

The House of Genius will be open for four weeks from December 4th. Fischer designed and curated the pop-up as “a place of liberty where new ideas are birthed”. It features a surreal mountain lodge terrain, which reimagines Moncler’s alpine heritage to inspire tomorrow’s adventurers.

This pop-up will feature limited collaborations and reimagined items, as well as accessories, gadgets and collectables. The Moncler Genius collection will feature key pieces, including 1 Moncler JW Anderson, 2 Moncler 1952 Man, 2 Moncler 1952 Woman, 3 Moncler Grenoble, 4 Moncler HYKE, 5 Moncler Craig Green, and others.

The space will also include ten limited-edition, detachable, city patches. These can be used to customize puffer jackets or vests, tapping into the global wanderlust at Moncler Genius.

Moncler also considers sustainability. Several models feature fabrics from abandoned warehouses, paired with recycled nylon innerlinings to highlight the circular economy. All packaging is made from sustainable materials, such as paper derived responsibly from forests and other recycled material.

Fischer invited a variety of brands from tech, accessories, and trainers to join the Moncler Genius world. These include Cowichan-inspired, hand-knitted sweaters by Kanata from Canada, a Casio-powered G-Shock Watch with custom branding created for Moncler House of Genius, and a Mattel 112-piece UNO deck in bold black or yellow.

A Moncler Genius chess set is also included, as well as two waterproof bags made by Ortlieb and two waterproof bags made by German brand Advisory Board Crystals. The instant camera comes with a pack containing two films and a USB charging cable.

Moncler House of Genius is available in pop-up shops in London, Seoul and Shanghai, as well as in additional pop-in spaces within existing Moncler boutiques in 16 cities around the world.
