Harvey Nichols Leeds, a luxury department store, is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Harvey Nichols opened its Leeds store on October 23, 1996. It was the retailer’s first outside of London location. The five-floor building featured fashion, beauty, food, and wine.
Harvey Nichols Leeds will celebrate its milestone birthday with a series competitions, promotions and special treats for customers who shop in-store over its birthday weekend.
To kick off the celebrations customers can join “The Beauty Social” on October 20 for a night full of beauty tips and trends. Expert masterclasses will be held, as well as a DJ set.
Victoria Leeds is collaborating with the store to launch a competition for customers to win an autumn/winter wardrobe makeover and 1,000 pounds to spend in-store.
The store’s all day shopping event on October 23rd will be the highlight of the celebrations. It will offer complimentary drinks tastings, live DJ sets, and food pop-ups throughout. To reveal a birthday treat, customers will receive a special birthday scratchcard if they spend at least 50 pounds.
Up to October 30, there will be a special cocktail and dining menu available in-store
Harvey Nichols chief executive Manju Malhotra said in a statement that “Together, with our Leeds store staff, we are proud celebrate our landmark 25th anniversary in the city. Just a few days before I joined Harvey Nichols, it was announced that Harvey Nichols Leeds would be the first store outside of London. This visionary approach to recognizing opportunities in regional cities made headlines and quickly became our foothold in North America. It also opened the door for six more Harvey Nichols stores in Britain and Ireland as well as six international.
“The Leeds store continues its position as the best retail and dining destination in Leeds. We would like to thank the store team and customers for years of loyal customer service and invite everyone to celebrate our special birthday with a host of special events in October.”
