Eat in Oakland: Champa Garden

My friends were right – Champa Garden serves incredible, familiar Thai-sounding dishes with an distinctly Laotian twist.
My dining companion and I ordered a few items, all of which we enjoyed. The Champa Sampler was served with Lao sausages and fried rice ball salad. We also enjoyed fried spring rolls. To complement the rice ball salad, we were served with lettuce. We loved the Pad Se-ew. It was thick and fluffy noodles with blanched broccoli, fried egg and a side of lettuce. Mmm-mmm. The Thai Iced Tea was our favorite, and we rounded off the meal with Fried Bananas with Ice Cream. Who wouldn’t love this?

I would definitely stop by Champa Garden for take-out soon, most likely trying another noodle dish and definitely some sort of fried rice. What are some of your favorite Champa Garden dishes?
