AZ Factory, a fashion start-up that was founded by Richemont and Alber Elbaz, has announced that 44 designers and houses will participate in the ‘Love Brings Love’ fashion show. It is in memory of the late couturier.

The collaborative catwalk show, which will close Paris Fashion Week on October 5, will include an international list of designers, ranging from names helming historic houses, to those with their own eponymous labels, as well as a host of emerging talent.

Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton, Ralph Lauren and Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing, Stella McCartney, Dior’s creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri, Gucci’s Alessandro Michele, Jonathan Anderson from Loewe, Giambattista Valli is Burberry’s Riccardo Tusci, Giorgio Armani, Off-White’s Virgil Abloh are key names. As well as emerging talent such as Simone Rocha and Christopher John Rogers, Rosie Assoulin, Grace Wales Bonner, and Chitose Abe from Sacai. Each designer will create a look for the occasion.

The Theatre de la Mode was a 1945 Parisian show that brought together French couturiers. It is a beautiful expression in creativity, prestige and solidarity after World War II.

The inspiring story was a fascination for Elbaz. The designer, who sadly died in April from Covid-19, had always hoped to unite his fashion family in a new, modern Theatre de la Mode.
