“Your outfit is killing the planet.” That’s the footwear and clothing company Allbirds is using to raise consumer awareness about the fashion industry’s . Although figures are still in dispute, it is believed that most of them come from the fashion industry.

Since its 2016 launch, Allbirds has been vocal about its aim to produce fashion with a smaller carbon footprint. Every item of clothing has a carbon emissions score that allows customers to see the impact on the climate. The company pledged to reduce its carbon footprint by half by 2025 and to make it virtually zero by 2030.
